Description: This Grumpig isn't working out as well as I thought. I'm thinking of replacing Torment with Snatch; that way, if I face this same situation again, I can Snatch that Substitute and throw even more monkey wrenches into the opponent's plans. I'm surprised it managed to weather the storm, however. I used Steelix, Crawdaunt, and Grumpig. My opponent used Metagross, Weavile, and Infernape. |

A slow, high-defense Pokémon will have Substitutes that don't break so easily, saving you a turn or two of damage. Fast, low-defense Pokémon, like my Ambipom, have Substitute to scout the opponent and to prevent themselves from getting hit by stat-lowerings and status conditions. __________________________________________________ | |
