| Aethyria ::: Favorites Also, I am recording 2 tracks of guitar which thickens things up and I use 10 gauge strings. The only pickups I personally do not like are Seymour Duncan. | Aethyria ::: Favorites X2N, can sound thin but the kind of wood your guitar is made of is key. I use Mahogany neck/body it has a much thicker sound then Maple, Alder or Swamp Ash, I also use a Pod XT. I have played tons of pickups and you have to match the pickup to what you are playing through and the kind of wood. Some amps love my combination and some do not. I use to use the M22SD it was very similar to the X2N, I loved that pickup as well.
