LCD is slightly better now than plasma since new LCD technology has completely reduced the viewing angle problem and the pixel tear so LCD is as good as plasma when it comes to fast sports..

Also You cannot put your plasma anywhere, its got to be a dark room whereas LCD can be placed anywhere.
Viewing angles are now as large as 178 degrees.
Contrast ratios are also equal to plasma, and to cap it all, sales of TVs has proven that LCD has overtaken plasma in every department.
Unless you have a pioneer, I would say LCD pwns plasma.

i have a LCD 32' at my room and a Plasma 50 at the living room... i dont see big diferences.. LCD looks great for me, i most use it to play.. but plasma is so good to watch movies *-*.. but i like my LCD anyway... looks great to watch everything

I would hit the stores and make them put a sports event or fast action movie on an LCD and then have them show you XBOX 360 or PS3 output on a Plasma before you take anything posted here as gospel. Only your own eyeballs can tell you which TV is best for you.

yea, you forget to mention samsung produce 42" and 50" plasmas. and LOL... burn in doesnt occur when watching normal tv. its when goldfish brain morons like you forget to turn their video off and leave the menu on for 5hours+

so more natural colours, deeper blacks, better viewing angle, better 'standard feed' responsiveness, and being better for sport and movies (less ghosting) counts for nothing right? only plus for lcd is that they use less electricity
