Description:

7/15/07 -- FOX News: Just days after leaked intelligence about a "spectacular attack" that may be targeting America, a tape has been released containing previously unseen footage of Usama bin Laden that may date to pre-9/11. Steve Pomerantz, former FBI Counterterrorism Chief, discusses what if anything the tape means. He states that there is reason to be concerned with peripheral activity going on (London, Glosgow, tapes, Pakistan uprising) and that "terror is about terror" -- part of the psychology of terrorism is creating anxiety. He believes his former colleagues in the FBI and law enforcement are kept up at night by the "mega attack" and the theory that we have not been attacked at least partly because they want to outdo the previous on 9/11. He reminds us that this threat must be kept in mind along with the smaller attacks that have occurred recently and that we should be ready for both.
