The moment the object was let go, the count was already ONE (in your measurement). But at that moment, one second had not passed yet. Instead, it should start at ZERO. In addition, the mass of the object (an empty milk jug) was not significant, so terminal velocity must have been reached early, which would also add to the fall time. I revisit the site with a heavier object and got a more accurate measurement (120ft) which we soon verified! 07-04-03 10:35:58 _____________________________________________________
