Description: Hello I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Friday, August 10, 2007. Actor Brad Pitt is reporting for his civic duty. TMZ.com says he arrived at a Los Angeles courtroom yesterday for jury duty. There's no word on if he was selected to serve on the jury or not. Pitt just returned from Chicago where Angelina Jolie and their four kids are staying for a few weeks. Jolie is working on a new film titled "Wanted." The crowd roared last night as David Beckham made his Major League Soccer debut. More than 46,000 fans gathered at RFK Stadium in Washington DC to see the soccer star and his LA Galaxy soccer team play DC United. Beckham played the final 21 minutes in the game. But his team still lost to DC 1 to 0. Since joining LA's team, the player's been recovering from an ankle injury...limiting to playing only one exhibition match with the team. R&B singer Sean Kingston is enjoying the view from the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His song "Beautiful Girls" is number one on the list for the second week in a row. Fergie's hit "Big Girls Don't Cry" jumped from 3 last week to number 2 this week. It's the song's 16th week on the chart. In third is the Plain White T's "Hey There Delihah." Los Angeles police are investigating a possible sexual assault in the Playboy mansion. Officials say their looking into an incident that allegedly took place at the estate over the weekend. They didn't give any other details. Playboy's founder Hugh Hefner owns the mansion and is known for hosting lavish parties there. The assault apparently happened at the weekend's annual Midsummer's Night's Dream party. For one "American Idol" hopeful, tryouts ended up being more labor intensive than she thought. 20 year old Hair-stylist Antoria Gillon went into labor on Monday while waiting to try out for the reality show in Texas. But she wouldn't let contractions get in her way of being a star. The singer walked to the front of the line where she gave the audition her all in front of judges. And it was a success. The Fox network says she'll be back for the next round. Gillon gave birth to a healthy baby boy. That's all for now. Thanks for watching. |
