In the mid 1900s the Prophet of our church was councilled, by God, that this "racism" should not be practiced in His Church. Since this time "Blacks" have been allowed the priesthood. There is a reference in the Book of Mormon that the Lamanites' (Wicked guys) had dark skin, but that was because they ran around naked, or in little clothing.
