Description: Dr. Gilbert Burnham is the co-author of "The Human Cost of the War in Iraq: A Mortality Study (2002-2006)." It was published by "The Lancet," a British Medical Journal, in Oct., 2006. The study concluded that 654,956 Iraqis have died as a result of the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of that country. Dr. Burnham, an epidemiologist, is the co-Director of the Center for Refugee and Disaster Response at the Johns Hopkins U.'s Bloomberg School of Public Health. His talk took place, on May 8, 2007, at Busboys & Poets in Washington, DC. The event was sponsored by www.vineeta.org.
