by the way man, i didn't mean to mark you spam sorry! i meant to press reply. anyway to answer your question, the 2t22 is louder than this one. this one is 110dbs at 100' and the 2t22 is 113 to 115dbs at 100'.

Wow thanks so much for posting that. There was a Federal Signal SD-10 directly aross from where I lived as a child, and I tell you...it has the scariest sound of all the different types of tornado siren. And the powerdown (or whatever it's called) at the end went on forever, and shook the house.

we have these in tucson. they are so loud! they sound really harsh tho.... they dont cover a large distance either.

What is the electronic siren patrially covered with the tarp? There is one almost identical next to the VFD near where my Grandpa lives. If memory serves, I remember it being dual-toned.
